Life is chaotic and unpredictable. You may never know what may happen tomorrow. One minute you are doing very well in your career or gig, then everything is wiped out in one surprise catastrophe. Overconfidence and inflexibility in one’s plans can only increase the risk. Do not put all of your eggs in one basket. Try saving and investing in more than one place. Always have a back-up or side hustle, because you never know when your livelihood will be crushed. Just as Death comes unannounced, so does loss of wealth. The only thing you can do is prepare for them.
