You may feel yourself being quick to anger, or might have even snapped at someone close to you. Do not simply apologise, hope for forgiveness, and move on. Instead sit with your negative emotions, realise they have a purpose in protecting you, and that you need to learn to direct them to the right places in productive ways. Use the depth of your anger and sadness to propel you forward on your path, but do not allow them to overtake your mind and control your relationships to others. Your default reactions to others will adapt over time, and eventually, you will be able to leave your anger in the past.
